The background story of the cheap warhammer age of sigmar is that after the defeat of Chaos at the conclusion of Warhammer: The End Times, Sigmar, the emperor of mankind, disappeared. In his absence, the forces of Chaos began to invade and conquer the lands of the empire. To save his people, Sigmar retreated to Azyr, where he gathered his remaining forces and launched a counter-attack against Chaos.

TheStormcast Eternals are a new army introduced in the Age of Sigmar. They are Sigmar's elite warriors, who have been reforged in Azyr and sent back to the realms to battle Chaos.
