  Many poets have compared the nourishing earth to a woman’s fertile womb. Yet at the heart of the Black Woods the earth is nothing more than a dead and cold womb in which the soul snatchers watch over the resting corpses of thousands of Drune warriors. They wander among the voices of the dead, prey to constant awakened nightmares that gnaw at their minds like time eats away at the flesh.
  Souls snatchers are Warrior-mage Initiates who can choose their Element among the four primordial Elements and Darkness. In addition to this, the mystical bond that links them to the dead allows them to lead the wraiths, living-dead Drune warriors, in combat.
