   Leading the Halberdiers into battle, Vargas Metatron is, by virtue of his longevity, a high quality clone. While it is rare for a Halberdier to survive more than two battles, Vargas has lost count of the number of times he has led his men into battle. Despite his amazing abilities, Vargas has little doubt about his future.
   Just as he lived, he will perish in battle, accomplishing what he was designed to do.
