  In the laws of the Wolfen people it is said that any male in the pack may challenge his leader in singular combat to attempt to take his place. Very often death awaits the defeated, but if the winner is lenient it happens that his adversary is banished.
Alone on Aarklash, he must try to survive. Some, after roaming around for a certain time, may try to integrate their pack again by performing senseless feats. If they manage to join again, then they take the name of Repentant, are shaved, and must wear a mask as a sign of their status.
